Going back to search results and…nothin?

In Firefox, when I go back to the Google search results page, I get blank Google search results. I do a lot of searching for my job and this drives me absolutely nuts. When it first started happening I looked around for a fix but there weren’t a lot of people complaining about the same problem, so I just dealt with reloading my search results page after clicking the back button. Then today I just couldn’t deal with it anymore and really dug around for a fix. Here it is:

[step 1] Open a new tab and type or paste about:config in the address bar, then press Enter. Confirm that you’ll be careful.

[step 2] In the search bar at the top, paste browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers and hit enter to filter (show) that item. Now change its value from -1 to 0. Then click OK.

That’s it.
